Well, another great event done and dusted! The Baby Workshop Melbourne was fantastic, and once again we had beautiful expectant mums, wonderful speakers, LOADS of prizes and a gorgeous afternoon tea.
I’ve got some great pics to share with you and just love looking back on the day and feel very honoured that so many first time mums let me be part of their special nine months. xx Vanessa
It’s great to be able to pass on all the tips and knowledge so make walking into a baby store so much easier! With a wall of sleeping bags on display it’s hard to know where to start. Plus knowing about the best nursery temperature and how to dress your baby accordingly takes all the stress out of sleep time for newbie parents.
Jo was back again with all her sleep time wisdom and fun! Loved her tips, especially these gems: 1. Take time when settling a baby. Don’t rush the process as it helps baby stay relaxed. 2. Once your bub is asleep don’t let visitors pressure into waking baby for a hold. Tell them to back off! 3. Keep a basic log book. 24 hours is pretty busy and it’s hard to keep track (especially when you’re tired).
Mum of four and Fertile Mind owner Christine spoke to us about her journey to becoming a Biz-Mum and also covered two great baby carriers… the Hug a Bub wrap and the Manduca Carrier.
Narelle Dwyer our super experienced lactation consultant was so reassuring when she explained how a baby’s feeding pattern can change, which is why it’s important not to be too rigid. I also loved her other point about a mother being the expert on her own baby (not anyone else!)
Wonderful for sensitive baby skin, the Aromababy testing station was perfect for our first time mums, and Catherine the creator of the range and skincare expert was there just for us to explain all the beautiful products.
Every mum took home loads of tips in her Baby Workshop booklet, which has also got space for writing the important tips heard on the day.
Prizes galore! We had some great giveaways and very happy winners!
Such a great day!
